Diathrosis is proud to have participated in projects that demanded a very high level of attention in some of Greeces' toughest terrains and locations.
PILE DRILLING
Whether you want to ensure that your structure initially has a sturdy foundation or provide it with the strong foundation it needs after damage, we use our machinery to drill into the unstable land and give the structure the ultimate support it needs. Pile foundation drilling is often used when the soil is unstable due to natural disasters or the presence of too much water directly below the structure.
We use both CFA Augers, Hollow Stem Augers & Air Hammers when drilling Piles.
DRILLING & INSTALLATION OF PASSIVE ANCHORS
At Diarthrosis we have the ability to drill at every degree in the range of a 360° circle, meaning both horizontally and vertically along the landscape. We drill Passive Anchors to stabilize slopes & structures that may be experiencing shifts due to gravity or weight increase from above.
CAROTTAGE & SOIL SAMPLING
Various types of construction include a specific load amount exerted onto the soil of the land. Soil sampling is the very first step in the process of constructing a structure since the soil samples and earth tests will determine how suitable the land is to build on.
We also carry out Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) which provide information on geotechnical engineering properties of soil and LeFranc Tests for water level activity.
DRAINAGE DRILLING
Since we have the ability to drill both horizontally and vertically in the range of 360° and have customized machinery, Drainage Drilling is simplified for us and our customers. This method includes the drilling of a hole with a specific length and inserting a PVC slotted pipe covered in Geotextile to reduce soil water pressure. Diathrosis has applied such drainage pipes in tunnels, along cliff sides and multiple structures.
CEMENT SPRAYING (Gunite)
Diathrosis has applied Gunite to underground tunnels and a variety of new construction both outdoor and indoor. We have all the necessary equipment to complete the job and do so with care and efficiency.
SOLAR PANEL FIELD DRILLING

We have years of experience in drilling multi-sized solar panel fields across Greece with our largest project being a 10MW field. We have tackled terrains that other companies had difficulties completing and proved to skillfully work the project enabling teams to manoeuvre and work simultaneously to increase project success.
GROUNDWATER EXPLORATION
To begin with, we investigate an area to see if it is a suitable location for groundwater exploration and proceed on the retrieval of information about the hydrologic cycle. Following that, we begin to drill into the ground to reach the intended distance and aquifer.
MINING EXPLORATION
Over the years, we have worked alongside Hellas Gold, the largest mining company in Greece and taken aboard international projects based in the country.
Once the targeted area is selected, we move in and begin drilling to search for the materials to be extracted and processed.
GEOTHERMAL DRILLING
To be able to successfully construct a geothermal ground loop system the location and distance needed to drill vertically can vary massively. There are subtle differences in the land that need to be taken into account beforehand. Our knowledge and hands-on experience allow us to deal with these delicate scenarios.
